These are all wind powered sculptures. Each piece is balanced so that it's center of gravity (CG) is located its pivot point (there are heavy weights in the short ends of each piece). Thus, each piece is balanced perfectly. You'll notice that the 2nd piece attachment to the first is always centered over the main column. Thus, the first piece is only made to rotate by the wind hitting it. As upper pieces move, the Center of Pressure (CP) on the whole statue moves, and it rotates. Cool!
